About this Blog

The books on this blog are divided up into several categories from Contemporary Classics (literary novels published since 1990) to those aimed at younger readers, from Booker prize winners to Children's Classics you might have missed...

Depending on the strength of your reading, the kind of books you like and whether you're after a quick read or something a bit more involving, the books labelled as being for younger readers might be appropriate for someone in the older years of the Junior School through to Year 8 or 9 in the Middle School. So as you can see, the categories are very broad.

We've also tried to define books in a series of hopefully familiar genres from family stories and fantasy to historical fiction. Clicking on any of the categories will also allow you to scan quickly through our recommendations by genre.

Happy reading!
